14.1.4 much better. 14.2, Speed profiles hampered. Abrupt deceleration when slower speed limit seen. 20 mph zones recognized even when not in effect. Still timid changing lanes. Needs to recognize when to ignore solid white lines. In traffic takes too long to change lanes when only a car length is provided. When another vehicle is stopped next to me at a flashing red light. FSD will go, stop, go, stop, go, stop in time with the flashing red. 14.1.4 had better acceleration from stop.

Other than Mad Max being slowed down, great build.

Driving in Snow and slick road conditions is amazing. FSD analyzes road conditions and adapts very well. Break by wire makes slick road navigation a game changer for traveling in packed snow and ice conditions. Still wish FSD desired speed was adjustable, reliably detecting signs needs attention. Falsely detecting 45 MPH on highways or miss-interpreting End speed zones makes long trips challenging.

So smooth and safe.

14.2 is smooth and an obvious improvement - no more brake stabbing over leaves! One humorous situation on FSD: when it arrived at the Tesla Supercharger, which is at the far end of the Target store parking lot, instead of backing into a supercharger, it parked in the last aisle of general parking. You could literally see the supercharger right behind us. I had to take over and backup into the supercharger. But overall, loving this 14.2 update!

The turn signal begins way too early before a turn. Extremely timid (yes, even in Mad Max) on the freeway. It is scared to change lanes. I missed a major freeway interchange today because it wussed out of several large gaps to move over for about a mile. 14.1.4 was way more assertive and competent on the freeway.

MUCH MUCH better than 14.1.4 I don't have to swear at this version!!!

The 14.x series remains incredibly capable and 14.2 is often much smoother than previous versions, but not always so. Still not quite as smooth as 13.2.9. Had a hard braking situation that should not have occurred and way more lane change indecisiveness on the highway than 14.1.4, feels like a regression in more ways than one. Love the Self Driving stats now and park options before starting drive. Nerfed Mad Max. Looking forward to a 14.2.1 to add the last bit of polish needed.
